Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains, in plain language, how this site is funded and how affiliate links relate to the content we publish about the Bogotá Metro.

What is this site?

metrodebogota.com.co is an independent, unofficial site. We are not Empresa Metro de Bogotá (EMB) and we're not affiliated with it — official information lives at metrodebogota.gov.co. This site exists to give visitors and residents a clear, up-to-date guide to the map, stations, fares, and construction progress of the project.

Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you book or buy something through them, we may earn a commission from the provider (a hotel or a tour, for example). This comes at no extra cost to you — you pay the same price you'd pay going directly to the provider's site.

This never affects our metro content

The map, the stations, the guides (opening date, fares, schedule, how it works), and the construction progress tracker are pure informational content: they contain no affiliate links, and editorial decisions about them never depend on any commercial relationship. We verify every fact against its source regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists.

Where do affiliate links live?

In the site's future tourism section, aimed at people visiting Bogotá (accommodation, tours, and travel services). That section is still being built — once we publish content there, every page containing affiliate links will show this same disclosure prominently.
