Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains, in plain language, what data metrodebogota.com.co collects, how it's used, and what rights you have over it.

Who runs this site?

metrodebogota.com.co is an independent editorial project run by a single individual — not a registered company. We are not Empresa Metro de Bogotá (EMB) and we're not affiliated with it; official information lives at metrodebogota.gov.co.

What data do we collect?

This site has no forms, no user accounts, and no way for you to enter personal data directly. The only data collected is:

  • Google Analytics (GA4)We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic: pages visited, approximate location, and device type. GA4 uses its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*). It only runs on this site's real production domain.
  • Hosting logs (Vercel)Like any web server, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs the IP address and user-agent of each visit. That's standard infrastructure behavior, not something this site actively collects or processes.
  • What we don't collectThis site has no contact forms, no user registration, and no field where you enter personal data directly.

Affiliate links

Some pages in the tourism section include affiliate links (Booking, GetYourGuide). Clicking one takes you off this site to those third-party domains, where their own privacy and cookie policies apply — separate from this one. Read the full affiliate disclosure

Your rights (Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 — Habeas Data)

This site operates from Colombia, so Colombian data protection law applies. Law 1581 of 2012 gives you the right to:

  • Know, update, and correct your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your data where applicable.
  • Revoke any authorization given for its processing.

How to exercise these in practice

Since this site has no user account, these rights mainly apply to the data Google Analytics collects about your visit. The most direct way to exercise them is installing Google's "Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on," which stops your browsing data from being sent to Analytics on any site that uses it.
