Line 1 Travel Time Calculator
Last updated: July 2026
Pick a departure and arrival station to estimate how long a trip would take on Bogotá Metro Line 1. The system isn't running commercially yet — commercial opening is expected in March 2028 — so this is a planning estimate, not a real timetable.

How this estimate is calculated
A pre-opening planning estimate, not a real timetable. It's calculated by distributing the only official travel time published — 27 minutes from Gibraltar to Calle 72 — proportionally by distance, according to Secretaría Distrital de Movilidad / Alcaldía de Bogotá. The system does not run commercially yet.

How long does it take from Gibraltar to Calle 72 on the Bogotá Metro?
According to the Bogotá Secretariat of Mobility, the full Line 1 route (Gibraltar to Calle 72, all 16 stations) takes 27 minutes. It's the only official travel time published so far.
How are travel times between intermediate stations calculated?
Empresa Metro de Bogotá hasn't published official station-to-station times yet. This calculator distributes the official 27 minutes proportionally by the real distance between stations, rather than assuming a fixed time per stop — station spacing isn't uniform.
Why do some other sites mention 33 minutes instead of 27?
That figure comes from a calculation some outlets made themselves (total distance divided by commercial speed, without counting station dwell time), not from the Secretariat of Mobility or EMB. This calculator uses the official 27 minutes, the only confirmed travel time so far.
Does this calculator show an official metro schedule?
No. The Bogotá Metro isn't running commercially yet — commercial opening is expected in March 2028. These times are a pre-opening planning estimate, not a timetable confirmed by EMB.
