About this area

Calle 72 is Line 1's northern terminus and, at the same time, the future Station 1 of Line 2 — both lines meet at this same physical point, according to Bogotá's Open Data portal (Line 2 route) and the city government (bogota.gov.co). It's also one of Line 1's 8 stations with a direct TransMilenio connection confirmed by the Bogotá city government, between calles 72 and 74, according to bogota.gov.co. Bogotá recently announced a 140-hectare urban renewal project around the station — between Avenida Caracas and Avenida 68, from calles 73-74 on the north side to calles 68-71 on the south — explicitly designed as the connection point between Line 1, the future Line 2, and TransMilenio, with an estimated 850 billion peso investment and roughly 39,400 projected jobs, according to eltransporte.com.
